The Dream Keeper by Langston Hughes
Bring me all of your dreams,
You dreamers,
Bring me all of your
Heart melodies
That I may wrap them
In a blue cloud-cloth
Away from the too-rough fingers
Of the world.

what is spiritual direction?
What’s your experience of spirituality been like?
Is your faith life-giving, or do you need something deeper?
How do you integrate all that you are into your spiritual life?
Do these questions resonate with you? Maybe you’d like to explore them with someone. That’s what spiritual direction is for – it is a process of deep listening, reflection and prayerful presence between the director, directee (aka you) and what we call the “third chair” – that is, God or the Divine.
You can bring all of those questions, whatever doubts or fears you may have about your faith, your wildest dreams and hopes – and we will work through them together.
Who is this for?
Spiritual direction is for everyone- not just for clergy or devout folks. Whether you’re deconstructing your faith, going through a vocational change, or just looking for someone to check in with about your spiritual life, spiritual direction is for you.
My practice centers queer and trans folks, particularly queer and trans folks of color, so if you belong to these communities, I’m especially excited to work with you.

My Approach
I am grounded foremost in my faith in a God that loves us beyond our wildest imagination. For me, that God is embodied in the person of Jesus Christ, and my faith finds its expression in the Anglican/Episcopal tradition of Christianity. My approach to spiritual direction is informed by the tradition of incarnational theology found within Anglicanism, the many streams of liberation theology, as well as queer spirituality. Although I come from a Christian background, I would love to work with clients of other faiths as well and I take joy in understanding the many ways that the Divine speaks to humankind.
My Values
My spiritual direction practice is centered around:
- Wholeness – The space we’ll create together in our sessions is one where I hope you can bring your full self. You do not have to censor or compartmentalize yourself.
- Centering marginalized voices – As a queer, nonbinary Latinx/Latine person, I strive to make this practice anti-oppressive by committing to learning about experiences that differ from mine and uprooting expressions of unjust systems as they may arise in my practice.
- Accessibility – Spiritual direction is care work, and it should be available to everyone who could benefit from this process of reflection and compassionate presence. My sessions are offered on a sliding scale basis ($40-$75), but if those rates don’t work for you, I’m happy to work with you to find a rate that is accessible.
